About Barnhart Outdoors

Barnhart Outdoors has been a dream of our founder, Tom Barnhart III since he was a teenager.  Tom developed his love of the outdoors from his father, Tom Barnhart Jr. at a very young age.  If you ever get to meet Tom Jr. remember to ask him about Tom III's first deer hunt.  You'll definitely be entertained!   Although Tom wished to make a career as a wildlife biologist, his high level performance as a competitive golfer changed his career path.  Tom attended and graduated from Penn State in the Professional Golf Management Program and quickly earned his PGA Membership.  Tom worked as a golf professional at some of the top golf and country clubs in the Midwest while becoming one of the youngest PGA Master Professionals in the country.  He then went on to start his own golf technology company which was later acquired by NBC Sports Next where he currently works full-time as a Senior Director of Revenue Technology.  Tom has jokingly said his motto in life is "Born to Hunt - Forced to Golf."   Tom is a husband and father to five children (a 13-year old boy "Thomas IV" and quadruplet 10 year old's.  Tom oversees the land acquisition, farm setup, food plot implementation and overall management plan and setup of each farm.

Tom Barnhart Jr is the one who brought hunting into the Barnhart family.  With over 60 years of hunting experience he brings a wealth of hunting knowledge to Barnhart Outdoors.  Tom Jr. is a retired minister and hearing specialist having helped thousands of people improve their hearing throughout his career.  Tom Jr will assist with farm setup, baiting, cameras, tree stands, hunter and lodging management.

As the years progress the third generation will begin to assist with the company.  The three boys have already each harvested at least one deer with Thomas bagging several trophy bucks and turkey.

We at Barnhart Outdoors are excited to share our amazing properties with our clients.  We have an awesome experience every time we head out into the field.  Our goal is that you experience that thrill as well.
